OUR STORY
Sr. Dr. Thekla School of Nursing is a modern, premier school of nursing that is committed to provide the best quality holistic Nursing and Midwifery educational system that suite a Nursing and Midwifery profession. The School adopted several international best practices in its core functions which enable its staff to win Award. Thus stamping its authority as a centre of excellence. The School is owned by Bishop, the Catholic Diocese of Lindi.
The School offers three years Nursing and Midwifery education programme up to NTA level six. (Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery). All students are accommodated in our Campus, The College is located in Southern Tanzania, within St. Walburg’s Nyangao referral Hospital – Nyangao Lindi.
Adequate number of qualified and registered academic Staffs and supporting Staffs, adequate infrastructure which includes Dormitories, well-constructed classrooms with LCD Projectors, well equipped Skills-laboratory, Computer laboratory connected with Wi-Fi networks, Library equipped with a lot of appropriate text books and computerized E-learning books system, sports ground and clinical practice at our large Mission referral Hospital St. Walburg’s Nyangao Hospital. These provide smooth learning environments for a great academic excellence to many students and potential employees looking for an increasingly competitive, well-trained Nurses and Midwives.
The school granted with full registration and accreditation by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), recognized and regulated by Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council TNMC and the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC).
